Trishul SNMP (Rust)

Native Rust SNMP toolkit: manager, notifier, listener and responder for SNMPv1/v2c/v3, shipped as the tsnmp CLI.

Capabilities

What it does

  • Manager operations across SNMPv1, v2c and v3 USM, including GET, GETBULK, walk and bulkwalk.
  • Send and listen for v1/v2c/v3 traps and v2c/v3 informs, and decode notification payloads offline.
  • Consumes compiled JSON from Trishul SMI for symbolic OID and value enrichment.
  • Includes a read-only v2c responder; SET operations and a full agent framework are out of scope.

Setup

Install and run

The crate includes the tsnmp binary. Add the crate as a Cargo dependency if you want to use the Rust library instead.
